Work-Doc provides a range of services to assist employers in meeting their legal requirements and to ensure a healthy and productive workforce. We can also provide bespoke services which can include a combination of the screening and testing below and also health education workshops and training.
Hearing Screening
If your employees are exposed to noise hazards they should be screened for hearing loss. We use Pure Tone Audiometry to identify hearing loss occurring over time and can advise on militating hearing loss in the workplace.
Lung Function Test Intervention
We use spirometry lung function tests to measure any changes in lung function overtime in employees exposed to respirable hazards in the workplace and at risk of occupational asthma.
Skin Health Assessments
Dermatoscopy is used to detect skin diseases such as dermatitis and skin cancer in the workplace.
Safety Critical Work Medicals
This is a health assessment that determines if an individual has a medical condition which could compromise their ability to perform a job or pose a significant risk to themselves or others.
Heart Screening
Heart disease assessments are carried out using blood pressure, heart rate and ECG checks, along with point of care blood tests for diabetes, cholesterol and anaemia.
Fitness to Work/Cardiovascular Fitness
V02 max, a calculation of aerobic fitness done with a Chester Step exercise stress test. A higher V02 max is associated with lower incident of Stroke, Heart Attacks and Diabetes. This test is often a requirement for safety critical workers.
Drug and Alcohol Testing
Urine alcohol and drug testing can be conducted directly in the work place.
Specific Workplace Medicals
We offer a range of specific workplace medicals including OEUK medicals for Oil and Gas workers and RUK medicals for working at height.
